Shadowrocket Download from the App Store

Get Shadowrocket on the App Store

A paid app with a one-time purchase, available only on the App Store. Check the store region and app details before buying.

Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited

App ID 932747118 $2.99 one-time purchase · US store reference For iPhone and iPad

Price, purchase eligibility, and system requirements are listed on the App Store product page. The button opens the product page in a new tab.

Store and Apple ID region

Shadowrocket isn’t available in the mainland China App Store. If the product page says it isn’t available in your country or region, check the Apple ID region used for the App Store instead of trying different search terms. Your device’s display language, current location, and the store region for Media & Purchases are separate settings. Changing your system language to English won’t change which apps you can buy.

Your Apple ID country or region determines which store you see. The button on this page links to the US product page, but opening it doesn’t switch your account to the US store or guarantee that you can pay with your current account. Check the account status, local price, and purchase confirmation shown in the App Store before buying.

If you use different accounts for device services and Media & Purchases, check the account used for App Store purchases. Before entering a password or confirming payment, verify the current account, app name, and price. If you see a pending payment or account verification prompt, complete the requested account steps first; these prompts aren’t Shadowrocket connection issues.

Before you buy

Verify the app: check three details

Use the name to find the app, then confirm the specific product by checking the developer, official icon, and app ID.

Official Shadowrocket icon: a rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background

Official App Store icon

Developer and app ID

The developer should be Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Open the product page and check the developer details. Don’t rely on the name, similar spelling, or icon color in search results alone. The final check is the specific Shadowrocket product page.

The app ID is 932747118, and the App Store link on this page ends with id932747118. The app ID, developer name, and official icon should all match. Search results may include apps with the same or similar names; a similar name alone doesn’t confirm that it’s the same product.

Official icon and interface screenshots

The official icon is a rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background; compare it with the original image shown here. The two images beside it are English interface screenshots uploaded by the developer to the App Store. They can help you identify Home and Add Server, but they don’t prove that a connection is working. The installed app’s layout and options may differ; refer to the app on your device.

In the Home screenshot, Not Connected means there was no connection at the time the screenshot was taken. Global Routing shows Config, with Connectivity Test, SERVER, and Add Server below. The Add Server screenshot shows Type, Host, Port, Password, and Method, along with Scan QR Code and Import from Cloud JSON. Seeing these fields doesn’t mean you have a working server; you’ll need your own configuration details.

Add Server: enter details for an existing server or use an import option in the app.
iPhone

Get Shadowrocket on iPhone and open it for the first time

Check compatibility on the App Store product page before you buy. The current listing shows iOS 13.0 or later, but the App Store page is the source for system requirements. If the App Store on your device says it’s incompatible, follow that message rather than relying on the reference here. After payment, wait for the App Store to finish installing the app, then open Shadowrocket from your Home Screen.

When you first open the app, find the server list in Home and locate Add Server. A new installation may not include server details. This means no configuration has been added yet, not that your purchase failed. Once you have your own subscription or server details, enter them using the appropriate option. Server addresses, ports, and authentication details come from your own configuration; they can’t be inferred from field labels in a screenshot.

Authorize the VPN configuration on first connection

When you’re ready to connect, the system may ask for permission to add a VPN configuration. This system prompt allows the client to create the corresponding network configuration on your device; it’s separate from App Store payment confirmation. Verify that Shadowrocket initiated the request, then follow the device prompts to authenticate. If you cancel for now, return to the app and try again later. You don’t need to buy the app again.

Granting permission doesn’t mean the server details are correct or that all traffic is using the selected server. Check the selected item in Home and the Global Routing setting. Config applies configuration rules, Proxy uses a proxy route, and Direct connects directly. When setting up for the first time, check the current routing mode and then test the connection. This helps distinguish routing differences from installation problems.

Handle installation and connection troubleshooting separately: the App Store handles purchases and installation, while Home and Config are used with your existing configuration. If the app opens normally but something won’t load, check your server details, network, and rules instead of buying it again. See the user guide for the full walkthrough, and the glossary for interface terms.

iPad

Install on iPad and use on other Apple devices

You can use the same Apple ID’s purchase history to install Shadowrocket on iPhone and iPad. If you bought it on iPhone, first check that the iPad is signed in to the original purchasing account under Media & Purchases, then find the app in the App Store account’s purchased items. Check the App Store product page for purchase eligibility and system requirements. Don’t skip the compatibility check on your target device just because the app is installed on another device.

The iPad’s larger screen means lists and details may look different in landscape or Split View. Interface labels such as Home, Config, and Settings can still help you find your way. Look for the feature name rather than relying on fixed screen coordinates from a guide. After changing the device orientation or window width, confirm which page you’re on before continuing.

Purchase history and configuration migration are separate

Installing the app on iPad doesn’t automatically transfer the server list, subscriptions, or rules from your iPhone. After installation, check what’s already there. If the list is empty, import your own subscription or server details. Keep the working configuration on your original device until you’ve confirmed that the new device can read it correctly. This helps avoid mistaking an empty list for a missing purchase.

If you migrate using a configuration file you saved, check what settings it contains before deciding whether to replace the current configuration. Subscription URLs and server credentials may contain access information; handle them only on your own trusted devices, and don’t include them in public screenshots or notes. For steps to manage an existing configuration, see the user manual.

Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision

The compatibility section of the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the page for universal purchase availability, supported devices, and system requirements. Open the same product page in the App Store on your target device to verify compatibility. Don’t assume the iPhone and iPad steps apply to other devices; input methods and settings locations may differ.

Purchase history

Changing devices, reinstalling, and restoring purchases

Find the original purchasing account’s record first, then restore your own configuration.

Download again from your purchased items

On your new device, open the App Store and go to your account page. Find Shadowrocket in your purchased items. Depending on your system, the list may be under Apps or My Apps; use the option shown to open your purchase history. Once you’ve confirmed you’re using the original Apple ID, tap the redownload icon. You typically won’t need to pay again.

  1. Check the account under Media & Purchases, not just the name at the top of Settings.
  2. Search for Shadowrocket in your account’s purchase history and confirm the developer.
  3. Download the app again, open it, and check that it reaches Home.
  4. Import your own subscription, server details, or saved configuration.

Purchase history restores your right to use the app; configuration determines where it connects and how it handles traffic. Restore and check them separately to confirm the migration is complete.

A price still appears, or you can’t find the purchase

If you expect to have bought the app but a price still appears, stop before confirming payment. Check whether you’re using a different purchasing account, whether the original transaction completed, and whether your account region affects availability. If needed, check your purchase history on the App Store account page and compare the app name with the transaction details. Don’t test by paying repeatedly.

Reinstalling the app won’t restore server credentials that have changed. If the app opens but your old server details no longer work, check your latest configuration rather than assuming you need to buy the app again. Keeping the working configuration on your original device can help you tell a missed migration from a change to the server details.

Whether Family Sharing applies to your purchase depends on the product page and family account requirements; refer to the App Store listing. Don’t assume that a family member’s ability to see a purchase means every device or account has the same purchase eligibility.

Pricing

Price and one-time purchase

The US App Store reference price for Shadowrocket is $2.99 as a one-time purchase. Other storefronts show local currencies; the amount on the App Store purchase confirmation screen is final. Prices may vary by storefront, taxes, and store updates, so this reference isn’t a fixed price for every account. Check the amount shown on your device before paying.

A one-time purchase means you don’t pay a monthly fee to buy the client. App updates are provided through the App Store. You can turn on automatic updates in your device settings or check for available updates on your App Store account page. Before an update that may affect important settings, consider keeping a copy of your working configuration. Reinstalling or updating the app doesn’t restore server access credentials.

In the context of the app, a subscription usually refers to a source of information for updating a server list. It’s separate from paying for the client through the App Store. Whether the app can be installed, whether a purchase is valid, and whether a server can connect are three separate things to check. Seeing Open in the store means the app is installed; seeing a server list in Home doesn’t by itself mean the servers are currently available.

If you don’t have your own configuration yet, learn what the client does and what information you’ll need before deciding whether to buy it. After purchasing, set it up using Add Server or the import flow for an existing subscription, then check the result with a real connection test and diagnostics. This page is the official Shadowrocket manual’s guide to verifying and purchasing the app. Connection steps and rule settings are covered in the user guide and manual.

Shadowrocket download and purchase FAQ

Check store and account messages first; then decide whether you need to troubleshoot the app configuration.

Why can’t I find Shadowrocket in the App Store?

Shadowrocket isn’t available in the mainland China App Store. Your Apple ID country or region determines which store content you can see. Check it under Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. Changing your region is subject to Apple’s account requirements; check your account page to see whether you’re eligible.

What if the product page opens but the download doesn’t finish?

Follow the App Store prompts to check your account sign-in, payment status, device compatibility, available storage, and network connection. If the app is unavailable in your region, check the region for the account used with Media & Purchases. If you’ve been charged, check your purchase history first; don’t repeatedly confirm the purchase.

Do I have to pay again after changing devices or reinstalling?

On the App Store, sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, find Shadowrocket under Account → Purchased, and download it again. You typically won’t need to pay again. If a price still appears, check the purchasing account and purchase history. After restoring the app, you’ll still need to add your own subscription or server details.

Can I install it on iPad after buying it?

You can use the same Apple ID’s purchase history to install Shadowrocket on iPhone and iPad. Check the App Store product page for purchase eligibility and system requirements. The iPad layout may differ, and installing the app doesn’t transfer your configuration from another device.

Can I use the same store page on Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision?

The compatibility section of the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the product page for universal purchase availability, device support, and system requirements in the App Store on your target device.

The app opens in English. Where should I start?

Start by identifying Home, Add Server, Config, and Global Routing. Home shows servers and connection status; Add Server is where you enter details for an existing server; Config is for managing configurations. This manual keeps interface labels in English so you can match them on screen.
